ELECTION OFFICER TRAINING 2008 General Election

INFORMATION

For people who received an appointment letter! The Department will conduct Election Officer training for the 2008 General Election at the Del Tech campuses in Stanton and Wilmington. Election Officers that the Department has appointed have been assigned to a specific class. They may change their class by emailing the Department at electionofficer@state.de.us or by calling the Department at 577-3464. When you email or call the Department you need to tell us who you are, your address, your Social Security Number or your date of birth and the class you want to attend. A copy of the schedule was sent with the appointment letter. DO NOT expect the Department's staff to read you the date and time of every class if you need to change your class. Use the schedule sent to you or linked above to determine when you can attend class. NOTE: The Department WILL NOT pay you for attending class if you do not work as an Election Officer on Election Day!

For people who DID NOT RECEIVE an appointment letter! The Department will only pay those persons appointed as Election Officers for attending class. If you want to volunteer, call 577-3464.

CANCELLATION PROCEDURES

The Department will announce cancellations on the following radio stations:

• WDEL - 1150 AM
• WILM - 1450 AM
• WSTW - 93.7 FM
• WBJR - 99.5 FM

The Department will also post the cancellation of this WEB Site and leave a recorded message at 577-5067.
