Delaware uses the Danaher Controls ELECTronic 1242 Model 5M Direct Recording Electronic Voting Machine. The 1242 machines were first used in the 1996 State Primary Election. They replaced Shoup lever machines that had been in use in Delaware since the mid-1950s.

This page has two different types of presentations about how to use Delaware's electronic voting machine. There are two posters and a video demonstration in three formats.

The posterPoster shows the six steps necessary to make selections and cast your ballot.
